Equipment
- Air Fryer: This is the primary piece of equipment used to cook the chicken tenders. Make sure your air fryer is in good working condition and properly preheated
- Three Bowls You'll need three separate bowls for your breading station – one for the flour, one for the beaten eggs, and one for the breadcrumb mixture.
- Tongs Tongs are handy for dipping the chicken tenders into the different bowls and for placing them in the air fryer basket.
- Cooking Spray A light cooking spray is used to prevent the chicken tenders from sticking to the air fryer basket.
- Baking Sheet (optional): If you prefer to set up a clean work area and have a place to rest the coated chicken tenders before placing them in the air fryer, you can use a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Chicken Tenders
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs seasoned or plain
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Chesse
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Large Eggs beaten
- Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
- Prepare the Breading Station: In one bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, place the all-purpose flour, and in a third bowl, beat the eggs.
- Coat the Chicken Tenders: Dip each chicken tender into the flour, ensuring it's coated evenly, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to adhere well.
- Air Fry the Chicken Tenders: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket, making sure they're not crowded. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook in the Air Fryer: Air fry the chicken tenders at 375°F (190°C) for 5-6 minutes, then flip them over and air fry for an additional 5-6 minutes or until they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
